As the wearables market grows we’re seeing a ramping demand for value-focused offerings packed with features, and Fitbit continues to answer this call with new releases across their model range. 2019 is going to be another big year for the brand, and they already have a handful of new releases under their belt in the first quarter.

Here’s what you need to know.

Fitbit Inspire / Inspire HR

First launched specifically for their corporate/health partners in January, the Inspire has now hit the open market as the replacement for the outgoing Alta and Alta HR models. Coming in at a very modest $69.95 ($99.95 for the HR), the new fitness tracker focuses in on the key features that new entrants to the category are looking for. At this price, you’re looking at the brand’s most affordable fitness trackers to date, which come with swim-proof cases, 5-day battery life, touchscreen displays, and the usual host of activity tracking. It also can be converted for clip-on use, a feature previously seen on the discontinued Fitbit Zip.

Key Features:

  • Goal-based exercise modes
  • Cardio tracking
  • Food logging
  • All-day calorie burn
  • Resting heartrate (HR model)
  • Sleep Tracking (HR model)
  • Guided breathing exercises (HR model

To keep costs lower the Inspire does not have standalone GPS tracking, however it can still sync up with your phone to allow for run and cycling tracking so long as you’re willing and able to pack your smartphone along for the ride.
